it does NOT

as can be read in several other discussions, it used to but this was long since changed (I believe in closed beta, even).
Please let these rumours be stopped :)

Please stop spreading false info. The Humus you use to prepare your fields DOES affect your purity. Test it yourself, take your high purity seeds and prepare your field with random humus, then take the exact seeds again and prepare your field with high purity humus that is exactly the same as your seeds (salt , sulfur , ect) and wait to see the results. You will lose purity on the seeds with the **** humus while the other one will retain its purity or increase.

This has not been my experience. I see both gains and drops and always use 0% hummus on my fields.

10 fields 100% lead cereal , 7 prepared with 95-99% lead humus 3 without. The 7 prepared all yielded 99-100 lead cereal. The 3 without yielded 25-33% purity lead.

certainty is 0% pure in this game

100% pure certainty is one of those "nice things" we can't have for now

Dude, what game are you playing?

The humus has NO EFFECT! I had bought 100% mercury cereal from a stall and I always prepare my fields with 0% humus. At first I only planted 2 fields with 100% and the result for both was a drop in purity to like 97/95 %. Then I used that to replant up to 8 more fields again with 0% humus and the results had one reach 100% again the rest in a range of 90s from 91 to 98.

Purity is based ONLY on the seeds you planted - nothing else. When you harvest there is a RNG function which make minor adjustments to the resulting crops alchemy levels which may benefit you a little bit or be a little bit of a degradation to purity.

The idea is to keep replanting only the seeds that have shown some beneficial rise (rise in the alchemy number you desire) over and over and over again in a grueling grind!

Very well, I will do a planting of say 8 fields using low purity seed - 4 of which I will use low purity humus like around 4% and the other 4 with high purity humus >90% and I will record the results.
