Value of Whispering Snake Skulls? (Plymouth)

Postby T0ne » Thu Mar 28, 2013 6:55 pm

I was browsing through the trade stands today and noticed something a bit odd, this stand is selling Snake Skulls for an underwhelming 5s and 47s, I figured maybe it was a mistake and tried to purchase one for some quick profit as I had sold one earlier in the week for 1200s. Oddly enough when I tried to buy one I was informed that the stand could not hold any silver.

Judging by the high purity of the other items being sold I am ruling out the chance that this was a mistake by some noob. The only other options I can think of is that someone has found a way to duplicate items in some way shape or form leading the stand to reaching its limit in silver? Or were they added simply because the stand was full, knowing that nobody could purchase?

Stalls can only hold 100k silver.

The going rate for snake skulls on Plymouth is 1000+ silver.

I wasn't fully sure how much silver a stall could hold, did not want to make any assumptions. But based on this information I am assuming some sort of exploit is being used? Why else would anybody sell skulls for so cheap?

Their stall is full of money, so they put the skulls on there at such low price to troll you (because they know you can't buy them) and it is working.

Alright thanks, I did not know whether there was a potential game breaking bug, or if this type of trolling actually exists as I check the stalls rather frequently and had not run into this yet. Lesson learned, if there is a way to troll, the trolls shall find it.

Mods can close this at their convenience.

Kind of risky, isn't it, if you forget about them when upkeep comes due?

That and the fact that you cant make anymore money while the "troll" is ongoing. Though if you have 100k silver, I guess its not a huge loss, but a loss none the less.
