Cant start the game?

Hi I download the JNLP file and open it with Java (Java (TM) SE Binary) to be exact) and all i get is a black window that opens for about 1 second then it closes its self. Help?

Make sure you have the latest Java installed with Java Web Start. Also, if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows make sure you install the 64-bit version of Java.

You need to open the JNLP with javaws.exe

I opened it with that and I got "unable to launch the application"

Try Ender's Client. It doesn't use JNLP to patch/download the game.

So every time i try to install java it says that it was interrupted and is unable to install

I just looked in my remove hardware section in my control panel and it says i have java 7 update 10 and also 17 but when i try to remove 10 it doesnt go away

Can you completely remove java, and reinstall it from java.com ?

I can delete my java 7 update 17 but i am unable to remove update 10 and it keeps saying that my java was inturrupted during installation
