Oil Trough

Postby Chievous » Wed Mar 27, 2013 3:25 pm

So I made one and understand that players make oil through pressing seeds....before i embark on this, is there a container that I need to have in my inventory to collect the oil from the press? I just dont know how it is collected. Thanks

You can use a bucket - pick up the bucket from your inventory by left click and then right click on press to fill it, similar fashion to filling it with water by right clicking stream

Also, the freshly squeezed oil remains in the press itself, so don't worry about not having a bucket on hand when you process your oilseeds.

However, given the costs of a press, it is highly likely you will have plenty of buckets on hand. 100 cotton seeds make enough oil to soak 5 planed boards.

Corn: 0.5L per 10
Pumpkin 0.75L per 10
Cotton: 1.0L per 10

- Bring some work food with you if you are doing mass press as it is some-what phlegm intensive.
- The press can't be moved so make sure it's in the viscinity of your oil troughs
- Invest in multiple buckets so you can semi-afk run the press and fill up limiting your trips to your oiling troughs.
- Oiling troughs have a ~50% success rate and is not dependent on proficiencies
- Warped boards are believed to contain a higher % chance to plane then dry boards
