Cannot Log in?

Hello.

I just signed up for this game today. After inputting the necessary fields, IE username, pass, etc, I got the e-mail and clicked the link to verify my account. Now, whenever I try to log on, the screen just returns to the log in page, with empty fields of input, but the address changes to that of a profile.

I tried launching the game via a link posted in a thread here, but the launch stops at about 8%.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For some reason that starts the install and just stops. I can't get it to install at all.

Yeah, some JNLP bug known by java probably...


Use Ender's Client !


It doesn't use JNLP for patching the game.

This one seems to have stopped as well. But I'll give it some time.

It stopped at the Downloading 'salem-res.jar' line.

Check your Java Control Panel (control panel->java) and make sure it will allow java files to be installed. Also check to make sure you have adequate space allocated for temporary files (there is a slider that you can adjust).

And lastly, perhaps Java is not configured correctly to have full access to run through your antivirus or firewall software.

If you are using a MAC I can't help you, but you can search for Mac in the Bugs and Technicalities subforum.

As far as I can tell, everything with my Java is okay...

I guess this just isn't the game for me. Thanks anyway!

Too bad, it is a great game.

Something with your computer/router/isp is holding the download up for you. If you can figure it out, the game is definitely worth the time and effort.
