Seeds purity

Hey guys im pretty new to farming and how the purity of seeds works but can any one tell me if i buy high purity seeds will the purity stay high if i don't do any thing to change it? or will it slowly drop? and any good ways or farming designs to Quickly raise crop purity?

It will go up or down randomly. So, if you buy high purity seeds, be sure to plant several fields. I don't do less than 8. With 8 fields you're almost certain to get some seeds that increase in purity or stay about the same. Also, if they do all go down, planting 8 more for the next round will probably see them go back up.
