you cannot build that there, everywhere

Postby Lazael » Sat Mar 23, 2013 1:16 am

Hiho, my problem is as follows: I have a perfectly flattened area (currently 12x22) in which in want to build a town brickhouse.

the problem is, i get everywhere "you cannot build that there".

Not only that, even simpler stuff like ore smelter dont work.
Does it need to be paved or what exactly is the problem?

Sure you have a large enough area? Try extending the area by a tile in each direction. Sometimes the footprint of the building is larger than it appears. Paving currently isn't necessary for any buildings.

okay , we paved another stonering around it, so 13x11, interestingly that worked, that was cleared before.

also, if you do not want to pave (cause it leaves a visible footprint once the grass grows back) re-dig the area (just put the dirt back where you got it from).

it may be perfectly flat, but if grass or leaves have re-grown, it can sometimes make things difficult to place.

If you want to keep your place, never ever pave.

Piggyback on paving.
Are paving supposed to appear underneath leaf tiles? I have paved a few tiles for reference and the only ones I can see are those on dirt, not the ones on leaf tiles. Previously paving showed ON leaf tiles. :?

It has always been "underneath" leaf tiles. It's just that leaves cover more space now with new textures

Odd. Before the update leaves only covered the edges. Now I can barely see the paving at all. Makes me wonder what the point of paving really is, and why the mini map still shows paving even though the tiles are technically covered with leaves.
