Hi,

where did you keep them ? Did you log off with them ? Stealth from an offline player is not possible as far as I know.

If you left them in a box or log, well that's another story ...

If it's not on a claim then it's fair game. ;)

If the basket was in place someone stole the items. If the basket is gone, it degraded.

Could have been stolen along with the other items, could have been intentionally destroyed, too.

Don't log off an leave things lying around. You can place two liftable objects into a lean-to. (Pick up item, right click the lean-to.) To get them back out, right click either of the bags in the lean-to. If the lean-to is your homestead, it then requires the potential criminal to have the black skill "Larceny."

And no, you can't steal from a player if they're offline (or even while they're still conscious).

*Unless they had committed a crime, were summoned at their homestead, knocked out, then had stuff taken off them.

Technicality, but possible.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Technically, that's "online" for the purposes of the character, but since summoning someone auto-kills now.....

It only autokills if they don't have a homestead.
