What game resources currently include purity grind?

I can tell you it's not a code oversight. It was designed and developed this way. The ability to grind crops to near perfect purity so quickly was VERY unexpected, which is why it will be getting changed. Since the removal of fertilizers boosting crops, I've not heard any reports of people grinding up that far yet, but the cat's out of the bag.

n00b question, but how do you grind purity in mining? Don't you just find a mine and it's stuck at whatever purity it's at when you get there?

yeah, but you make dowsing rods from the iron you find there, and then use those to scout for a mine with better purity.
