When you can't log back in the same place you now have to drop your stuff, I discovered this as Enders crashed when I opened a gate and I had to return to my homestead and lost my backpack (as it was in my inventory as I had my sled) and a few other things as they had been dropped under the cornerposts of the wall. I was trying save up leather to build my canoe.

Heres the fishermans friends version of Shenandoah http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LuCuF2_W7Q its not a great version (as its just been filmed by some random).

Also, can anyone tell me the material needed for the Pirate's outfit from last week's update? The wiki can't keep up. ;)

Pirate's seemed to require Caim & Abel and others, so maybe Highlander it's similar, someone posted on the pirate announcement thread...

Apparently I have the skill (whichever it is) to make the highlander outfit. Neither Embroidery & Silk or Lace & Fancywork is required. Maybe it's just weaving.

This has always been like this. Only if you crash / log out in Boston, and the position is occupied when you try to log back in, you will be sent home without losing your inventory. If you crash / log out anywhere else, you will lose your inventory.
While I understand that this mechanic is nescessary to prevent raiders from looting stuff too easily with alts, I do *detest* the gate thing.
I've lost so much stuff from crashing when walking in between gates.

Please devs, can you make a change, so that it becomes impossible for stuff to be dropped in places where it cannot be picked up, like in between gates / beneath walls?
(and could Ender maybe try to fix the memory leak, because it's getting worse and worse? I crash every 45 minutes or so in my base, on an i7 with 8G RAM and 2G on the Gforce. It seems a memory leak is there for every single object in game, since crashes occur more often in area's that have a lot of buildings / stuff, and crashes occur about twice as often when I turn on shadows. It seems every shadow is an object too, for memory leak purposes. Ender, your work is absolutely amazing, but fixing this would be such a relief. I hate to have to exit and restart the client every time I want to pass through a gate, in fear of crashing and losing stuff, if I don't do that first.)

Oh, I must've been on my claim, in Boston or something when this has happened before because every other time I was allowed to keep my stuff. In fact I was on my claim this time, just not my Homestead claim.

Meh, just now I lost 2 dry goods bags and half of my cereal harvest again, stuck under gate.

I get very few crashes, sometimes go days without. I use the latest Java always updated, disable shadows and antialising. My computer is a humble AMD with an low end ATI GPU. My GPU drivers are probably outdated, but Java is the latest. I dunno why I don't crash more often.
