Flintlock musket/pistols, how they works?

Postby iotuegli » Mon Mar 18, 2013 10:33 pm

i watched around searching for better explanations but i found nothing i already know :/
why don't put all the knowledge we have all togheder??

1a) how much costs a shot for musket?
1b) how much costs a shot for pistols?

2a) how much damage does a musket now?
2b) ho much damage does a pistol?

3) there is something Sparking&Embers makes in damage done?

and now something totally different:
is worthy raising profiencies even higher than the skill requirements?
as example... is worthy raising Thread&Needle to lv40 for a better slotting (i belive that, maybe some1 can confirm?)

1a-b) ~13s a shot when you take gunpowder and the ball into account

2a) ~10 at 100 ybile
2b) ~7 at 100ybile

3)Sparks and embers wont increase the damage but ybile and common damage will

Yes, raising your proficiencies will help quite a bit when slotting items that match them.

For hunting bears and argopelters, yes. I doubt though using them on anything less dangerous is worth it. And since you can't currently skin and butcher humans I assume you don't mean in pvp.

and, personally, I really don't think they're worth it for bears. 50-60 humours is plenty to take one down with thrust, without any danger if you're careful and have some experience.
I don't have any experience with argopelters, so can't say anything on that account.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

tbh no one should hunt argopelters as they are ridiculously broken now.

You have to log out for awhile if they kill you, but they're fine otherwise. I like hunting them, though it is a challenge and you do need fairly high humors.

isn't possible if a musket hunting worth... beavers??

if you can kill 1 beaver with 1 shot (-13s) and than skin it (-1s) you gain a brain in addition, a brain usable to make leather (+8s)
that means you can teorically use muskets to hunt beavers to have +7s each time... well... with a char with enough humors to get fire weapons it's lose of easy silvers xD

idk for agropelters... i only know they launch random things
