Boat fights?

If you are in a boat can people on land attack and kill you? How can they?

Stomp is AOE so it can hit you in a boat from outside, and a thrust from the correct angles can hit you as well (havent checked other attacks but I assume they can hit also). Someone can also just jump into your boat and start slapping you around/do a killing blow, which is most likely what they'd do if close enough to land hits from outside it anyway.

Yeah, stay out of shallows around other people while in your boat, run speed is faster than boat speed so you can be caught if there's enough land/shallow water to run up to you before you get to deep water and force them to swimming speed.

Cannons!

You must build a cannon mold with boards and rope and clay

Then put in 30 Iron bar and you get a cannon!

Fires at target boats doing x damage. When target boat takes damage exceeding hull strength it is destroyed. Occupants drop into water. Cargo drops into water (and is destroyed I guess)

What about boat on boat action?

TBH, I haven't tried it yet but I'd assume boat vs. boat combat would be pretty similar to Haven: Board the other guys boat and kill him, or break the boat and drown/kill him. Boat kambertz are actually a pretty good thing to have experience in, they lead to some hilarious fights
