secure trading.

Postby saintbad » Tue Mar 19, 2013 4:24 pm

The big issue is im at the point in the game were i need silver to actually get land but the only way i see to make money without trading is a necklace with Indian feathers and arrow heads but if u want to trade anything you could get scamed so i been unable for 2 days to sell anything and i understand why. I think we benefit greatly from a trading system. Cause.for such an openended game with.a huge sandbox it kind of ridiculous that the only real opinions i have are buy silver or find Indian feathers.

You can sell cricket teams. Also you can sell hay easily in town. That was how I made my first million.

start trusting traders :) most traders in the trade wind value their reputation over a single trade, and honestly most (if not all) are pretty sociable people.
It might be a fun game to play solo, but it is SO much more playing it in a group which you trust, by which you're betrayed, etc. :) It's just part of the experience, really.

Also, we do have some kind of formal trade system: stalls. What might be a good idea is stalls with buying slots as well. That'd be nice, some stalls buying up all hay for 2-3s or something.

my main point is: salem is a game which does not treat its players as some small kids needed to be handled with care. I, and a lot more players here I guess, find that a refreshing view.

I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I think what you mean is there is no hand to hand trade window option where you would open a trade window as if making a hand to hand trade where each person approves before the deal is final, therefore avoiding someone just walking off with your stack of leather and not paying for it. Tho I believe this was a type of coding they weren't going to be doing rt away and were instead trying to develop as much new content...animals and other things for us to do before tackling that type of code. I could be wrong tho that is what I gathered from reading the forum.

I have hay i have things of value no one will even buy anything from me. Stalls cost silver to run and maintain. And yes like a trade window. Is what im talking about relying on pure trust id trust people if they even would buy from me. And i cant kill crickets lol

Believe it or not, you are not the first person to think of this and there are already countless threads about 'secure trade'. It's not going to happen, and learn to use the search function.

There already is secure trade, just use the barrels where only 2 people are able to access at one time.

i been playing for about 3 days and giving my opinion on what might make the game better dont bash me you piece of ****.
you could have just said "There already is secure trade, just use the barrels where only 2 people are able to access at one time"

but in my opinion that still not sucure what stops the person from just taking your money/item. but i guess your to busy bashing new people to know what sucure means...

That is exactly what I said. And I don't appreciate your abusive language in the civil sections of these forums.
