I'm trying to recall this from when it was posted... Seems like jorb said the wild trees wouldn't have as many cuttings as planted trees. (Am I pulling that out of my ass?) I do recall that he said something about "other methods" later that would be more reliable.

I saw a comment earlier about the lack of forests. It's not the lack of forests but the size of biomes. They're HUGE compared to HnH. You can walk for 30 minutes to an hour and not leave a biome.
