You'll need to hit up a player that is selling them in a stall or make a deal with a player offering them in The Trade-Winds.

They were part of a special Thanksgiving package, so you can only buy them from other players.

Yeah, purity is broken and when you grind it, it only comes out 0%.

For rotation which seed do you plant first? wanted result or 1st rotation? if you're following the wiki.

Rotation is for getting higher-tier crops that require the color-bars of a particular type (or two) be quite full. When starting a field from scratch, rotation won't matter until you build up enough influence on one bar to allow for better crops to be produced.

Both Corn and Cereal add to the Green bar, but take from slightly different ones. Higher level Corn results from the accumulated influences from Cabbage (gives Red 1st bar) and Cotton (gives blue 3rd bar).

Yes, Yellow corn is the default, tier 1 crop. Cotton influence will let you harvest tier 2 Blue corn. Cabbage influence will let your harvest tier 2 White corn, and influence from both cabbage and cotton totally more than 150 when you add both bars will give you tier 3 Golden corn. If your total for two bars is less than 150, you'll get either blue or white depending on which of the 2 bars is higher. If the total drops below 100, you'll start getting yellow corn again.
