Bread oven deteriorates like crazy

Is there any way to prevent this? I logged in 2 days ago, now I come back and it's completely destroyed.

make a claim

buy a writ of homesteading and build a stake claim and expand that so it covers you oven.

structures build inside a claim doesnt deteriorate and if someone steals/destroys somthing from your claim they leave a scent
yea who needs "secure" trading, its not like this game would benefit from it, lets just kill the newbs instead as long as that's fun and people still join the game.

Much obliged, sir. My claim didn't cover the Oven, maybe if I cover it it'll help.

It won't just help, it will stop decaying. Things on claims do not decay.

well it might take the same time, it might be faster to decay a gardening pot since the decay ticks are random and what ive learned seems to be a random square recieving a decay hit there for the oven with its much larger footprint than a pot have a greate chance of being hit by decay.

but if that is true then theoretically a pot can decay before a ove.... unless pots arebugged and unbreakable by decay :)

so dont build the large house (cant remember the name) outside a claim cause it will decay much faster.

if thats how decay works

You also have the HP of the object to consider, too.
