Well, when you'll see me selling my body and not my words you'll be allowed to talk about prostitution. Waiting for this day, you should avoid this kind of talking, cause it's horribly not on the subject. Thank you. Anyway, blackmail is when someone tells you to do something or he will do something bad to you. I'll tell you again what he told me : "post that thread or i will keep your money." If this isn't blackmail, well, I think i have a real problem with english words, and i can put my dictionnary in the trash. Thanks for your helpfull participation.

Geez, chief way to dig it in. I think she's right she wasn't charging him for it. She was being blackmailed by the reb to get her things back.

Either way,

Let me get this strait. Some newb wants to buy iron, she pays the guy some money, and makes some newb trader mistakes. The thief turns out to be a rebel, and tells her she has to post that the MM tribe robbed her in the market, and then he will give her the iron. WTF, that is messed up. That is some hardcore, cut throat deep propaganda techniques there, wow. When the hell did Plymouth get that nuts. It's no wonder you guys are all agro-stressed up there. We get the occasional newb barrel thief down here in the Ro' but nothing like that.

Do we still not know who the thief was. That is seriously some anarcho-market terrorism from that person. Now nobody'll trust anybody selling outside the stalls.

Yeah if you think that is bad you should have been here when Procne created a "procne alt" or alt of himself to be able to scam people without tarnishing his reputation. It was a very clever tactic because by "pretending" it was not him he was able to convince the mods to move all the claims of scamming (which were actually occurring) out of his trade thread and into the Hinnom yet he could still use his main to change the items in the stall to give the illusion that the alt WAS the reputable trader. This allowed him a once again pristine reputation for him to scam all over again. It was a vicious cycle for new-comers not keen to Procne's Most Wanted status. The nonsense has stopped so I can only assume he became bored of his shenanigans.

This game has a long way to go until it achieves EVE status in the art of deceiving people.

Furthermore, in this game, you should not trust anyone that isn't your close friend outside of games. Always get leverage if you ever intend to invest in any ingame relationship.

It took a few years before that first mega-scam came around. I expect that if this game ever sees more than a couple of thousand regular players we'll see one eventually. Unfortunately, it'll be "old news" in the gaming world and won't net the press attention that it did for CCP.

Otherwise... nothing new here. Same thing the Tribe has been doing since they started playing this game. (It's also the same thing some of "the Rebellion" players have been known to do, too.)
