A colony channel would also allow better communication in game.

Would be nice if you could add people to the faction claim, even if they aren't part of any of the towns, for communications purpose, like a diplomat of sorts.

Yeah I have to say this is a really cool idea, not just for the added community and communication, but for the interesting geopolitics that might arise.
The sweat and blood shed by its people had established a strong foundation upon which the most powerful entity in the world would be built.
