Smoother cliff navigation

Postby MayflowerBlues » Fri Mar 08, 2013 4:04 pm

The way our characters navigate cliffs is currently very annoying. First, they stick to cliffs anytime they are near them, which might or might not be the intention of the player. In certain places, with lots of tight spaces and plenty of cliffs, it just becomes next to impossible to navigate. Secodly, after the character climbs up or down the cliff, they are still glued to it, requiring an extra click to make them go on. So my suggestion would be to change it so that the player has to actively signal that he/she wants to climb before the character attempts this, and secondly after the climb is complete, the character should auto disengage from climbing mode into normal walking mode automatically.

I once got KO'd by a Deer since I was maneuvering with WASD and I got stuck to a cliff.

The current system is somewhat...annoying.

making "sticking" in cliffs only by clicking on the cliff itself is much efficient than pass close to them and "sucked" in a stuck position

don't it?
