You're quite right in that jorb has addressed this. The statement was that they're not going to do anything about it. It's not "too challenging" to address. It's impossible to prevent everyone from creating more accounts than what is allowed with the resource available to police it, therefore, why should a few willing to or able to spend on proxies and other methods for circumventing the rules get bonuses that the average users won't have access to or would be unwilling to use? Until this game gets more support staff other than the devs, don't expect this to change (and I wouldn't expect it to change if they had a Blizzard sized budget, either, unless hardware/software issues show problems). I don't like it myself as it nerfs the game design too much, but what can I do?
The term we use here is "alt vault" as it implies more than just a mule. The characters are made to BE the storage vault that every other game I have played since 1995 has had. The problem is that if you allow a per character bank, then people make fewer characters but can store as much or more stuff. If you make an account wide bank, fewer characters are made, but more accounts are.
