My blood sits at 14, while my other stats sit at 5. Do I seriously have to re-roll a character to fix this? I've been looking for hours to find one, found one and ate it only to find out that's not what I was supposed to do with it?

I too found it a bit un-nerving how you can actually irreversibly increase the difficulty of levelling up your stats by accidentally concentrating on just one humour. I guess I was fortunate in reading Sevenless's guide before I even started to play.

Fear not, though! Although it looks bad, your character is not unsalvageable. Unfortunately, the biome you are in (I believe it's called Savanna, and is utter rubbish for starting out in) will not allow you to progress. LEAVE THE SAVANNA. Maybe take some oakworth with you, but get out of there. Research the Hiking skill, pick a direction and walk in it until you find a forest (coniferous is better for humours, autumnal is better for proficiencies) and build a new leanto there. There is no effective way to level your other stats with just sugar-caps (they are eaten too slowly) in the green wasteland in which you spawned.

Alternately, you could use the proper grasslands (and water) around your "Boston" to find these essential ingredients for success:
-Milkweed Roots. Phlegmtastic! Quick to eat on their own, but more usefully, are an ingredient in WILD SALAD. Learn to love the stuff.
-Lilypad bulbs (found in the water). They aren't useful by themselves, but are an ingredient in WILD SALAD. The last ingredient is oakworth, which I think you'll be able to find without difficulty.
-Lavendar Blewits. The best early yellow bile source, hands down. Used by themselves, or as part of "shrooms on a stick", either way you get yellow bile.
-Fish! When you can't find blewits (they are rare treats if you don't actually live near true grassland) then "Fish in the Reeds" and "Filet on the Rocks" are good YB sources.

Black bile is a bit problematic though since the best early source, Witche's Hats, are only found in forests.

Aaaanyways, I sympathize with your problem. Gluttony is not well explained, contains hidden pitfalls, AND THE SAVANNA BIOME SUCKS. (Seriously, there's nothing there that you can't find in grassland. All it has is a f-ton of myrtle oaks.)

Go to coniferous forest with border on grassland/wasteland. Also some water nearby is good. Great combo.

Aww thank you! :D
Really, I was like, "Awright, this is a beta, so let's see how far I can get without a guide."
Thinking I was clever, I made "higher foods" and ignored the berries thinking just doing higher foods would cut out some time.

The wasteland does have something though! No people to steal my stuff. :P

Edit: Okay, I re-rolled because it's easier to just spend a day getting my stats back. I'm not sure where you thought I was, but I certainly was not in a wasteland. I found the wasteland and realize I was in quite the paradise. -_- Is there any way to see where I was on the map and get my new alt there?
