Client that forces kin status? Town Bell Protection

Postby TheMapp » Fri Feb 22, 2013 12:50 am

For the past 5 hours no matter what I do who I send to my town claim this same person shows up instantly as I log in or another of my village logs in. He is there in a matter of seconds literally. Ive created numerous alts, had members log in just to see how quickly he shows up. Upon loggin in he is no where to be seen, then poof he is there. My question is, how does he know? None of us are kinned to him, the log in times are extremely sporadic. Waiting 2.5 hours to waiting 15 minutes it doesnt matter this guy shows up instantly after we have a villager log in.

Also, I have a question about town protection? Does town bell protection prevent non citizens from opening doors? House doors? Gates?

If they can get to said doors / gates, and they are not locked, they can open them when they turn on criminal acts. I actually have no idea if any skills are required, or if turning on criminal acts alone would allow opening doors.
Did Claeyt shut up yet?

That is strange. Did you try talking to the person? Are they standing inside your town claim? They can't steal anything unless they turn on criminal acts and they can't open a locked gate on a town claim either.

My guess is one of your citizens is logged on and watching and logging on this alt when anyone else logs on just to mess with you. Either that or WITCHCRAFT!!!

Everyone of my citizens was apart of my gaming community way before we started back up in salem. This was a sporadic decision to start playing again. Only about half of us played in the original beta while it was under Paradox. The other half is very new to the game. Everyone is logged out at the time of the test no one even knows the alts log in to head over there. But this person for some reason, knows exactly when we send an alt as he appears seconds after. We have been away for some time so I don't know if new mechanics has been introduced but we are in the process of moving our town to another area. But every single time someone logs in this person shows up. I know for a fact no one in my town is feeding information. Up until recently since we set the town bell down to free the citizens from the exploit/bug of being locked down in there leantos in a pclaim this wasn't an issue. But since the town bell has been setup and a two homesteads have been removed this has been going on.

This guys for some reason has a radar on even alts to know that we are online.

Are you using a custom client or custom client mods? The only thing I can think of would be some sort of script on a custom mod doing it.

It could also be a scout bot which relogs repeatedly all the time and stays logged if he sees someone.
Or maybe one of your kin tells him when you log in.
