Just to reiterate (and seem to have stated this a few times in the last week or two):
There is no plan for a wipe unless an issue is found requiring it. So, it is possible, but I wouldn't play like it's going to happen in the next month or two if you plan on sticking with the game.

Oh, then I must have seen other posts saying wipe and concluded that (a previous reset) was going to be accompanying the next Open Beta.

I'm sure you've seen threads asking for it and saying it's needed for one reason or another. I'd have to dig to find the official statement on it. I can't recall if it was posted by jorb or TotalyMoo.
