Inherit a Claim, whats happend with locked Gates and Chests?

If you want to bind the key to another character on your account then you can do the following:
- walk with your alt outside of your claim
- relog to your main, remove all permissions to the claim from your alt
- relog to your alt, toggle criminal acts on and enter the claim then quickly walk out of it. This will trigger criminal debuff on your alt, which will make it stay online until debuff fades
- relog to your main, your alt will still be in game and you will be able to attune keys
- restore permissions to your alt AND WAIT for the alt's criminal debuff to fade. Walking onto the claim with criminal debuff, even when you have all permissions, will refresh the debuff and BB drain will be applied

Toggling criminal acts is not necessary. You log out the alt ON your claim. You log in with the key maker, change the claimstone settings for the alt. Log out from the key maker, log in on the alt that are now a trespasser by default and CAN NOT log out. Quit the client (because you can't use the log out option) and the alt remains online. Log in on the key maker and bind the key to the alt. After that reset your claimstone and the alt will auto logout.

Kind of a time consuming strategy but it works.

Uhm, wait a minute. I thought that if your character is on a claim to which it has no premissions then you cannot log into it. You would be thrown to your homestead, wouldn't you? Unless your homestead is on the claim as well. Is that what you meant?
But then again, if your alt becomes tresspasser and receives crime debuff then leaving it on claim while you relog to attune keys would mean KOing this alt. And if it has homestead on the claim as well then he would keep KOing, no?

It does seem simpler and safer to just get a debuff and stand outside the claim.
