And a pile of sticks doesn't provide the same thing? Do signs have more HP than say a fireplace or something else stupidly easy to build?

The cheap wall is definitely a possibility if they were too cheap and depending on their HP. Pretty easy to solve. 2 Nails seems a little steep though, I was expecting 1 nail per post honestly.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Since you can now make walls out of merely branches, the old (and extremely flawed) counter arguement is now more obviously flawed. so how about removing that nail cost?

one of the main things I miss from haven, is player messages in the world.

I agree they should be cheaper. I would like to use them to communicate with neighboring claim holders without needing to find the person online. I would like to use them to designate my own fields for specific crops. I would like to do these things even if I don't have an anvil and not paying 15 silver and up per message.

To avoid spam just make them cost very little or nothing to destroy.
