[Jamestown] blockade at boston

Postby jbarefoot » Fri Feb 15, 2013 6:48 pm

it seems some people are bored and have set up a barrier of full compost bins and metal chests that prevent access to boston.

Please remove these items and maybe even ban the players responsible? pretty please?

Whoops! I guess we've got to thank our resident griefers for helping to discover all the mechanics they would use in the actual release. Building in Boston + inability to destroy in Boston = grief.

Postby Guido » Fri Feb 15, 2013 8:56 pm

So I log on today and go to town to make some flour and this is what I see.

I'm sure most know who is doing it but I will not mention him as I try try and feed the trolls a little as possible. But if anyone can remedy this situation I know my self and many others would appreciate it.

Unfortunately, this is sort of abuse that kills all the last remaining activity in Boston (Jamestown). A change of game mechanics or account ban would be appreciated here.. Players should have some kind of voting system to ban these accounts based on enough votes (right click a player - "vote for ban" - enough votes - immediate wipe).

:)

I think the "Great wall of Darwoth" was good idea at first but repeating the same old song over and over again is just lame.. This goes into same category with windmill blockage and other simple "pay to pass" abuses. I don't respect anyone who makes newbies' lives any harder here. For example, Russians in Roanoke are tough but they fight players and villages equal to their own size.

Okay, I just went with a new character and tried to destroy a random stick pile on the boston claim. It worked. Has anyone tried destroying these things?

I dont think they're building in Jamestown. Saw them using a boat, so they're probably building outside the city claim and bringing them there.

This kind of grief could easily be fixed by not allowing to drop liftables in Boston claim. Then again, don't even allow for lifting any objects in Boston (to avoid people getting stuck lifting something).

I tried, but it says it belongs to Jamestown's claim, can't destroy it.
