Bad example, in my opinion. EVE, Conan, Darkfall, UO... these would be closer examples of the ideal.

Oh, and forgot: You could sink enemy ships, but war had to be declared, and the declaration had to be mutual. (No "I declare war on you! Deal with it!" like in EVE.)

5 minutes to get through a stone wall is quite a long time when you consider the person is being fired on by braziers and torchposts and all that. And if they weren't, your defenses are crappy, it's not the raid mechanic that's broken.
What do you mean disabling braziers without attacking the walls? How would you do that, exactly? I think you're just lying now.

lololol you dont know how to drain blaziers?? O-o if people arent online its easy to turn 1000 blazers to scrap :/ and im not even a raider/griefer.. i just tend my farms
as for walls. perhaps but in all honestly 5minutes or less for 1 person to break walls is nothing when they have 400+ humors (or suspected of such) add in the fact of blazer draining or catching hermits/towns while they are offline so they cant repair :/ anyone thinking walls are balanced to player humors is either on some really funky drugs or wearing rose tinted glasses.
from what i have seen personally and what has been posted time and again on the forums.. (that isnt full of *****) walls in salem are damn near pointless.. unless you drop a village claim worth of walls around a pilgram house almost anyone who isnt a scrub raider would get in pretty easy. (and no im not asking for +hp walls or blazers but actual balancing...)

I'd love to hear this please. As a forewarning, throwing a million alts at them really doesn't work or count as successfully draining braziers.
