Help me i can't stop gaming from crashing with shadows on

Help me i can't stop gaming from crashing with the Render Shadows on... where do i find that damn setting to delete it so it resets?!?!

Ati mobility hd 5650 is my videocard btw

I CANT FIND THAT FOLDER! !! where do i find the damn folder -.- i did read the topics many times, cant find the salem folder in users -.-
Btw i have windows 7 x64

I saw your comment in the other shadows thread, and also that someone has already answered. If you still have issues finding the folder I suggest clicking Local Disk (C:) and use the search bar at the top-right corner of the window.

You screaming and shouting doesn't make me want to be helpful.

There should be a folder in the user directory. If there isn't one, then perhaps deleting everything related to Salem and reinstalling the client will create it. If it does, follow the instructions in the other Shadow thread. If it doesn't - I'm out of ideas.

That IS the default client. If you download that you will have a Salem file in the user directory - unless something goes wrong. If you have managed to play the game without downloading it then I can't be of any service as I've been forced to download the client whenever I click the link.

If you're using Windows, open Windows Explorer and copy and paste this into the address bar:

%HOMEPATH%/Salem

If the directory exists where it should, it should take you to it. I don't recall the default client creating a directory to store configuration variables in, but it's been a while since I wiped it and tested. Ender uses the same folder, too, to store extra configuration data. I'm working on that now, but it takes a while for my system to download and compile the client.

edit: After some messing around, I don't find this folder in my user directory, even after deleting the existing folder and clearing my Java cache (pointless, but did it just to say I did it). I'm going to do a bit of digging on it.
