The negative implication of giving claims magical powers of that kind is that claims suddenly gain potential offensive uses. Also, it's magic, and we generally don't like the explanation that a wizard did it.

But I could see some sort of argument for having your own crap be easier to destroy. I just wouldn't want to use claims for it, and that makes it very much not obvious how I would like it to work. Thus I brood on it.

If you need it done anytime soon, I suggest raising your phlegm. :)

How about a witch did it? ;)

But anyway, I can see how it sort of makes sense. If you're not under pressure (ie not committing a crime), you can take your time and slowly take apart just about anything. Though for this explanation it would make more sense if it worked for unclaimed walls as well, and the soak only applied to things on claims where you don't have vandalism rights. This would also help with grief walling, which we haven't really seen yet in Salem but which could be quite effective against people with low phlegm and a stone fence.

Some function that let you slowly destroy a building/wall without wasting that much phlegm, becoming vulnerable in the process. A "deconstruct" option, kind of.
I never managed to figure out something clever for my signature on Paradoxplaza, and I doubt I'll do it here either.

Make it easier to destroy objects on your own claim...

Postby tweenprinc3ss » Thu Dec 06, 2012 9:51 pm

I am fairly new to the game, and thus my humours are not very high. I have, however, come along ways in a short time. I finally decided it was time to put up some defenses (MM Tribe posts have skeered me) When I plopped down a 2nd Stone Post to make a gate I did not pay enough attention to its alignment on one axis. Once I built it I realize it will not allow me to extend a wall segment out the direction I was hoping for. Now, I have no way to get rid of this misaligned stone post. I try and destroy it, but it will not budge past 0%. This is quite maddening, as it is halting a huge construction project I am working on. Please make it easier to destroy objects when they are placed on your own claim!

I would like this too. I know it dosn't make alot of sense but it would be kind of useful. I actually left my first settlement because i made a royal mess of the walls.

It taking a thousand times longer to destroy something on your own property than to build it doesn't make sense to you?

I just tell people to get more phlegm.

And no, I think that it should be just as hard to destroy something on your own property as it would be to destroy stuff on other people's property. Things just don't magically become easier to destroy because you are the person who built them.

Please make this a reality. Very damaging for new players, who are left to figure all this out for themselves. Mistakes are going to be made, at least give the lower humoured players a way to fix mistakes. As it stands I can not take down this stone post I placed incorrectly, stays at 0%.
