Once is Java itself is corrupt. You'll have to uninstall and use a utility off the Internet to make sure it's wiped out. Reboot and reinstall Java.
A second is that your security software or network isn't functioning or configured correctly. Make sure everything is allowing the proper protocols (http, TCP/UDP) and ports are open (TCP 1871, UDP 1870). Make sure you're not running any software that could interfere with this.
Already said about using revo uninstaller to completely remove all traces of java before reinstalling it again lol

in my above post.
I have not installed anything that may stop me from using salem & my router settings have not changed what so ever.
I'll go into my router settings and open these ports aswell later too see if this helps
