Drains 20 points of Village Authority per hour. (Is destroyed if the village has no authority)


Maybe it should drain 5% max auth from target town per hour?
Same with waste-claims vs personal claims 5% max upkeep per hour, so waste-claim-stake would have upkeep bar.
And when target camp got both pclaims and town claim covered by waste-claim drain stack.

That should make nice silver sink for raiders and force them to choose only camps that can give them profit :)

I think the devs get their primary feedback from MM regarding such things.


Maybe they should watch the russians raid. No offence to the chief, but his raids are kids play compared to the russians.

From what i understand, it would drain the village bell your attacking. so if the village bell reaches 0 you are able to claim the bell yourself.

I understand it drains from bell one who built trial by fire belongs. Why else need to have permission to build authority objects?

I think the objective here is to instigate town vs town or faction vs faction wars.

Draining a % authority from the bell nerfs town size, which isn't something we need. Why would we want people to pay more for a siege just because they own a larger village claim? All that would do is encourage people to cram as much as they could into the smallest possible village size they could. It's not aesthetically beneficial for the game, big sprawling villages are neat. :P My town upkeep is 4k, I don't think I need to pay 4x as much as other people just to attack my enemies, just becaus emy claim is very decorative. :P

RE: change in general:

As I read the notes, it looks like only members of a village can build the waste claim needed to attack another village. This means that villages can run around attacking anybody they want, and only other villages can retaliate. Private individuals need to have the option to at least try and strike back, even if the odds are stacked against their success. Not even having access to the mechanical means of attacking a village when all you own is a personal claim isn't good for balance. As the owner of one of the largest village claims on my server, our village was intended to be a PvP destination location, encouraging everybody on the server to come fight here. This change excludes private individuals from participating, which is unfortunate.

I think this update is good because if you have friends who can protect you from raiders, or are in some sort of agreement in which you are protected, you have time to call them over before you are even attempted to be raided.

What? Waste-claim drains from raider town auth, so my idea of "5% of max DEFENDER TOWN CLAIM AUTH drain per hour" would make your 4k town claim safest place on server!

Also I think that making siege timer dependant simple on claims is bad idea.
Imho it should depends on wall type...
- lowest fence is destructable after 4h of being on waste-claim,
- simple/wood fence - 8h
- stone wall - 16h
- plank - 24h

That would promote better wall levels and maybe stone-wall-spamming would end.
