The main minus of this patch i think is that now all the valuables would be hidden and moved out before you can enter and there is not much point in raiding anymore due to this.

The strong walls and braziers where working quite good for protection from my point of view and could have given several hours for claim owners to log in. And small plots with 2 stone walls and some braziers were pritty safe also due to the brake in time/possible loot.

I really don't like this change.

That would be needlessly harmful to pretty much everyone. No more logging out anywhere but on your claim and after storing stuff, unless you want to lose what you've collected. And makes unexpected disconnects/computer crashes horribly punishing if you were carrying anything of value.

This is going to make it tough for raiders to go after anyone who is at all active. Going to make it even tougher for players to get revenge for being killed or raided. I'm anxious to see what happens next because I think this change is going to be terrible bad for small players like me but only inconvenient for bigger, richer ones. (I wonder why they never ask some of us what we think of changes before they make them, and how we might break them, might save some work).

Precisely, if you want to logout after a play section, put it in a container. A tree stump would do if you are out in the nature exploring. If you are a person that switches in and out between different characters, it will hurt you, but if you only play one main, it will barely affect you.

Given the stronger defences, you can safely store stuff in your base too. It won't be as safe as alt-vaulting currently is, but very safe due to the new defensive changes.

As for " unexpected disconnects/computer crashes", they will only be "horribly punishing" if the internet company has some form of meltdown of it your computer broke. 5 minutes is more than enough time to restart your computer and login. Hey, you know what, increase it to 15 minutes and you will maybe once in a year lose items due to reasons beyond your control.

The new patch makes defense strong enough to warrant the removal of the alt-storage, please do it jorbtar :D.

Pras!

As for the new raiding, I have a mixed feelings about it, but hopefully it will work just fine. Hiding the loot might be a bit of a problem though [until the stealth-stealing at least], I have to agree with that.

Just no. By the way there are a lot of really bad storms over here and you lose internet often in some places because of downed lines etc. No electric = no modem = no internet = no salem. Hate this idea of yours and I don't use any alts for storage, keys, or the such. Regardless, I'm not sure this is the place to have this discussion (again, you already argued about this in another thread recently).

As for these new waste claims, most of what all of you don't like about it could be fixed if we had some stealthy wall jumping, lock picking, etc. So loftar, since you were kind enough to give us your thoughts on that, maybe we could have these ideas and balance this out a bit. One could be a sneaky thief without leaving an owner in complete ruins or one could be totally destructive, get a waste claim, and steal and destroy everything there. Pretty easy solution to me.

The old thread was before the new changes. This new "patch" changes a lot and I am giving important feedback and a solution to a problem. The problem, and a major one, is that a person can alt-vault away all goods in their settlement the moment they see a Waste Claim targetting their base. The time aspect gives them more than enough time to do this alt-vaulting.

I have provided a solution to this problem, although the solution was not mine (so thank you to the person who thought of it in the old thread).

As for your "storms" issue: using your argument you could argue that people with crime debuff shouldn't stay inside the game when they logout, because due to your "storms" you would be leep a large risk whenever you trespass. Point is: it is ridiculous to adjust the game to anomalities such as your situation.

If this makes my claim safer, then Yay!
If it doesn't, then Boo!

I'd like the larger factions to try out the new system on each other and share the results with everyone else. ;)

Guess there isn't a good way to remove alt-vaulting anyway. Making so you drop your inventory kinda screw up early game and exploration.
