A bunch of them spawned right next to my base.

maybe catching them would turn one of them into a Shocked Frog. ^_^

So... waste claim -> makeshift fence around to make invincible -> come back after time limit and break through paper thin walls again? Maybe I'm not understanding it all correctly but this seems like a bad patch.

Edit: Bad for both raiders and defenders... good for the noobs though I guess...

What is this safety distance, and how are people affected that ignored it previously (I only started playing a week ago, settled into a town and my claim is completely touching other pclaims).
I know right now that it is not enforced, but since it is mentioned I'm guessing it will be?
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

This makes a lot of sense mechanics wise (reaction window for defenders was sorely needed), but I don't like it fluff-wise. I think it could've been made a bit more organic with cannons and stuff, and more importantly the cost of assault could be made to scale with the amount of defences. We really need some proper resource sinks in raiding to balance things.

This is like ringing the doorbell 12 times before breaking into someones house. I fully understand the need to reign in the system somehow, but I do not agree with this choice. Town claims perhaps, as there is some possible reality to having to mobilize forces enough to attack a town, which would be detectable by said town. As far as pclaims go, i feel it is awful. This narrows the choices I have as a player, and forces someone to be a raider to be a successful criminal. No longer can I play the role of the slick thief, as there will undoubtedly be someone around to destroy my waste claim, which forces me to defend it. AND IT MAKES NO SENSE. Why would I scope out a place, find its weaknesses, and return announcing my intentions for 18 hours before acting!? Thanks for all the hard work nonetheless!

And in that time the hermit can simply alt store anything of value, making your entire effort pointless.

Precisely why Jorbtar needs to change it so that you drop all items in inventory after being offline for let's say 5 minutes. Alt-vaulting needs to go.

That would be needlessly harmful to pretty much everyone. No more logging out anywhere but on your claim and after storing stuff, unless you want to lose what you've collected. And makes unexpected disconnects/computer crashes horribly punishing if you were carrying anything of value.

This is going to make it tough for raiders to go after anyone who is at all active. Going to make it even tougher for players to get revenge for being killed or raided. I'm anxious to see what happens next because I think this change is going to be terrible bad for small players like me but only inconvenient for bigger, richer ones. (I wonder why they never ask some of us what we think of changes before they make them, and how we might break them, might save some work).
