To be fair, they were likely just trying to get what they wanted easily before the raid because that raid was a total ***** lol

Oh really... so prove how I am a shade of bad rather than good?

Shade of bad doesn't exclude all good actions, however, your stance on what is acceptable for testing mechanics stains you badly.

I made no stance on testing mechanics. I just said that making extra claims and alts and testing on yourself is stupid, which it is. The whole point of this game is not to play by yourself, trade with yourself, raid yourself, kill yourself.

The whole point of the game is to use the tools that were given for any purpose we choose to; i.e. a sandbox. If you want to play a hermit that doesn't interact at all with other players: you could do that if you hide very well, that wouldn't go against the point of the game.

The fact is that you can test raid mechanics without raiding a person who isn't a member of your group; it may be cumbersome, it may be boring, but it is a proper way for anyone claiming to be "good".

I have a hard time believing that the "proper way" to test raid mechanics doesn't involve raiding...

Fact is I am "good." I don't raid at all. I have never committed a criminal act in any way. But, I can still disagree with your theory completely.

Endorcing "bad behaviour" is bad as well, so while you may not do them yourself, you work as an accessory to an extent :D.

Because raid mechanics is more about black bile drain and defense mechanics rather than "raid mechanics" per se.

Sir, you're leaking industrial-grade stupid right now. Please stop.
Bashing a cornerpost on a base sized p claim is in no way the same as running through a base while under brazier fire.

Uhm, if you read that thread more thoroughly you will see that Russians simply raided. They tried explaining it later that someone from raided town left scents in some russian noob camp. Dunno how much truth there's in that, to my it was a simple raid.

But yeah, "pay or be killed" is standard extortion fitting Salem or HnH. The strong dictate their rules. What is annoying with MM is how they present themselves as liberators, with the help of Raelak's puppets and the smooth talk, which is ridicilous for people who were here for some time.

And running through a base while under brazier fire is just gameplay that interacts with defense mechanisms. Depends how you define "raiding" and I don't define it in such way that testing defenses against friendly target (although you dont have rights so the braziers activate) to be "raiding".

I do see them as liberators though. There was no way to secure myself prior to the treaty. I can make walls and walls but people could still break in. The tribe keeps me way safer than I was before. On my friends account our characters were killed and we had 3 walls which did nothing. I actually feel safe now because of what the tribe has done.
