Back in home

Postby Jakov » Sun Jan 20, 2013 7:15 pm

Hello!

Yesterday, when I come back to my village, I saw, that my leanto is broken... I didn't have time, to make new one, so I just logged out... But before while, when I wanted to log in, I saw information, that my location is occupied and I must go back to my homested... Because it was destroyed, I went back to Boston... Yesterday I lost things, that I had in leanto, today I lost EVERYTHING, because my invetory is empty and I can't go back to my home (I just don't know how find it from Boston). So am I good thinking, that this great mechanics of the game make my play over? :* Or is there any chance to retrieve lost hour spend in Salem?

Why would your villagemates destroy your leanto? Maybe they decide that they don't want you to live there anymore.

The game has been fixed so that you cannot log onto a village claim you are not a member of. Press ctrl+P and you will be able to verify if they have kicked you out of their village or not.

@staxjax, My leanto was few meters near claim. And it was not city claim. I lived with friend and his girlfriend, who didn't play for last days. And our village was protected by friend's claim, not city claim. As I said, my friends didn't play for last days, so they didn't destroy it. I don't know how it happened. And I don't know why I couldn't log in where I logged out. It was on friend's claim, where I have all privilages. And I was logging off/on there for many times.

I would just walk back, nowhere is too far to walk in Salem. You just need somebody to be online for party arrow if you dont know where it is on the world map.

I your leanto wasn't actually on the claim then it probably decayed. Everything you build outside personal or village claims eventually decay. As for not being able to spawn, it may be as simple as someone standing on top of where you logged out, or someone having built something there.

If you know the homestead secret of the claim owner you could create a new account and create an alt which you then port to the claim, now party the alt on your main and you now have an arrow pointing towards your home.

Don't trust the arrow though, it can get bugged. Click on the portrait of your party member you want to go to and you'll start going that direction, then just keep heading that way. It's a better way to find your party members.
