Still a promising game, but I could not convince any of my friends to stay. And this is one of the points, why they've left Salem.
Getting knocked out by a Grasshopper. First time, I heard about this, I could not imagine, that this is realy in the game. A baby could crush a grasshopper, so why should they implement Super-Crickets, so I thought. But then I tried myself, and got knocked down, by one of those nasty little green ... however they called ..
Warbite Crickets - a totally rediculous Idea. I mean, even if insects could get that big, what they cannot, they still have an exoskeleton, and you could easily smash them with your foot.

I cannot understand, why in the world, they chose Insects. I mean, back then, when the settlers came to the new world weren't there enough dangerous animals in the wilds? Bears, wolves f.eg.

"Taking place in the time of the first Pilgrims, Salem lets you live as an explorer in the new world; building your settlement, learning new skills and maybe fight with your neighbours."

So far the description of Salem ...
Honestly, if the devs want this game to be taken seriously, they have to do a bit more on realism.

If you play a bit longer and get stronger you will be able to one shot them easily. That way the game will seem a bit more realistic. I agree there is some breach in realism in this game. For instance there is no day/night cycle and you can sow and harves stuff several times a week depending of what you sowed. The game has to make some trade offs between fun and realism. What if they made it take 3 months to let cereals grow? Would that be fun?nI had the same grievances as you, but still its mostly cosmetic. Pretend the crickets are raccoons..

It's been said before, hit a cricket and move away. Keep moving until you see the cricket going after you. Activate your defence and punch it right before it reaches you. You will have turned by the time it does, taking lower damage.

Wait until you see a rabbit morph into a marsh hare. Crickets are nothing compared to them. ;)
