A fire, a couple of cupboards, some fields and a tree. Pull up a chair, and admire your hard work at the end of the day over some roasted turkey from the coop. No need to go above ground ever again, it gets quite homey inside a mine...

The only reason most people are doing this, is because above ground mechanics are broken with defense etc etc, let alone the fact that even being able to build 99% of the stuff people do inside mines was unintended.

With building inside a mine you can ensure with 1 KO'd alt, you are 100% safe from being raided.

I suspect living in mines will change if/when they fix them so you cannot build herp derp everything inside, and biles </> defenses are balanced.

You can put all that in a mine? Even a tree? Maybe plants should need some light level to grow. o.O

Well you can put almost everything inside a mine, coal piles, timber piles, coops, any container, fields, cupboards, etc etc.

The list of what you "cannot" build in a mine is a lot shorter

Call me crazy but I kind of like it like that. It's like standing on a rock shooting melee NPCs in Skyrim. Just not quite as OP. It's interesting trying to come up with methods of folding the game mechanics in ways I'm sure were never intended. It adds an extra layer of complexity.

That would be true if it wasn't for the fact that stuff stored in mines is basically invulnurble atm due to the alt-blocking mechanic. Yes it is a good thing when people discover unorthodox ways of using the mechanics, but things like living in mines, tree-walls and such are imo exploits and not legit ways of using the mechanics. That said, people are going to abuse these faulty implemetations for as long as they are available, atm we who don't are at a disadvantage.
