Unable to launch the application.

Postby fiveous » Fri Jan 11, 2013 11:24 pm

Well first, I had the recv error. I'm not using commodo firewall at all, but I managed to fix it with the -Xnosplash.
Now after it downloads the client up to 95% of the bar it says Unable to launch the application. Error: Unable to load resource http://plymouth.seatribe.se/java/salem-res.jar

My first (and currently only) guess is that you received a corrupted download. You might need to clear out the Java cache and attempt to download again.

There are third party clients you can try using, too, in the Artifice & Arcana subforum. Sometimes some people can play with those when they aren't able to get the standard client running.

Yes, I'm sorry it appears I had some trouble downloading the client. My connection wasn't that steady, now that I closed other downloads its working fine now. Thanks, you may lock this thread.
