Having to open one gate to go anywhere is a huge pain. 10 is enough to make me quit rather than go foraging.

(With one wall I might add) One player should not be able to bash down an entire base if they're dedicated enough and expecting everyone to be online 24/7 and to be pvp oriented to defend by themselves is simply asking way too much of the general population. Niche game, or not.
