Unable to download client

as with last few builds, might I suggest that you STOP telling people to disable firewalls/antiviruses to run this game?(Actually i more often hear 'uninstall' not disable)

Java was always a fail choice anyways, but if you must use it, make it so that it works though them, or tell people how to allow access.

Nobody in this thread has said for people to disable their antivirus or firewalls.

If any of you use AVG, AVG doesn't let anything through if it has to do with Java. Uninstalling AVG worked for me.

Sure looks like nobody to me.

I'm having the same problem, then download won't go past about 15%. I don't know if its something with java, my Antivirus or what, but I'll check back in a month. It is the game company's responsibility to make an installer that works (with antivirus/etc. enabled), my other dozens and dozens of modern games have no trouble installing.

Well I uninstalled Java 7. Cleared the cache. Installed Java 6 and for some reason it still shows Java 7 when I launch the client.

The download stalls for me too. It just stops at varing points, but never makes it above 25%.

You may also want to consider making sure you have temp files allowed in Java. Having that unchecked will not let the game download.

This client/download is so awful, I've finally given up. Until this can be made to work with even 20% of the systems out there, this will be a colossal failure.

Sorry for the negative rant, but I've been trying to get this to work for over 4 hours, and have fallowed every hint/clue/chance of a miracle at getting this to work. Short of downgrading my OS to DOS, or recoding the game myself, I don't think this can be made to work. I'm "way" beyond frustrated.
