Beaver dance

First, let me say: what?? I'd lol, except it's anything but funny when they do it.

Ok. Given that, I need to ask what the distance of their attack is while they're dancing. It seems like they're suddenly surrounded by a barrier of an additional tile or three of PBAoE damage, to which I say, again: what?? They're beavers, not whirling dervishes. Being basically unhittable and striking on all sides is bad enough.

Just my punch-myself-in-the-face-frustrated opinion.

No, no I'm quite sure you're incorrect. Those are most definitely whirling beaver dervishes.

When it happens just turn guard mode on, and make sure to be facing them every time they come by. The pinball attack does a lot less damage than it used to, be thankful for that at least XD
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

I start every fight with anything harder than a cricket with Guard on. I think it's the razzle dazzle that gets me. I get all freaked out and swing wildly, not realizing a calm, measured strike would end my struggle.

They have to be a certain distance from you to start the dance, yes? I'm thinking the best tactic for them would be to keep in close to prevent them from doing that. They only take 2 or 3 uppercuts and do 2-3 damage per hit, figure they hit you twice before you get them if you're good on your timings... at least that's my thinking. Then they start dancing and it's all over.

beaver dance can reach through walls and blocking items by the way, best way to combat a beaver dance is to duck behind a wall and stand 2 tiles away from it atleast or shove impassable items in front of you to the beaver like bushes and old logs. they will dance in to that and bounce off.

each hit from the dance is 1.0b which isnt too major when you can 2 hit a beaver with the right yb and skill loadout before it even gets to dance lol. just dont stand in the path of 3 dancing beavers.. it hurts... alot

You can out run them with run when they do that, or just stick close to them.

Every attack can reach through walls and at least 2m high cliffs if made not further then 2m horizontally.

thrust cant, also deer ram/head bash cant hit through bushes or logs lol. beaver tail swips also do not hit through hard objects.

also guns cant shoot through anything rofl (which is weird)

cliffs for attacks count as flat ground so there is nothing blocking. least what i have experienced.

They move fairly predictably, if you have a stump or some other solid objects you can easily dodge the dance until it stops.
