Also, if you leave them KO'd you have 24hours to find somebody to murder them or murder them yourself.

Also, as for why they were KO'ed without brazers, I believe any criminal action (including trespassing) drains black bile, so it is possible that they were poking around on your claim and just derped around until they burned through all of their BB.
