Did anyone manage to make a Sis 3 Mirage work propely? The game runs but half the textures are gone and the fps is near zero.

According to the information I was able to find, it should work, as it's supposed to support up through OpenGL 1.5. Best I can suggest is checking driver support for your OS and looking into driver tweaks.

Radeon 5450 - Doesn't show the transparency / Aero of the inventory. Full-screen doesn't work.

Radeon 6670 - Displays everything correctly. Although I still can't get Salem to enter full-screen mode using :fs 1.

I'm about to purchase a Radeon 6770. I'll let you know how it runs on Salem.

Edit: I'm using the drivers from AMD's homepage.

The 6770 runs it just fine, its what I am using. So did a 4650.

Updated:

Issue reported with the Radeon 6370 Mobility and shadows.

Finally fixed my links I forgot to put into the opening post. (Might have missed one. If so, please tell me.)

Again, if anyone has a fix for any issues reported here or elsewhere on the forums, please, let us know!

Shouldn't this be a sticky?
I don't have a solution to the graphics card issue but the solution to reset the clients if shadows have been turned on is shown below.

Wournos wrote:Possible solution (works for me)
Open the salem.cfg file in the Salem folder - C:\Users\<your user folder>\Salem\.
Change shadows=true to shadows=false
Save
Login and play. :D

I don't think it's worth it as 95%+ of the hardware in existence should run Salem. There may be,as is pointed out, some issues with things like enabling shadows for a few cards due to improper OpenGL support, but that also seems to be a small fraction of players.
