dry pie

for some reason my pumkin pies are coming out a bit drie. anyone have any baking tips?

You must make the dough first on the baking table as you have done. However, you then must have the dough and pumpkin flesh in your inventory and open crafting>food>breads & pies>pumpkin pie and craft the pumpkin pies before baking them. When you put them in the oven they should say unbaked pumpkin pie.

first time i got a dry pie.... i added fuel mid way through the baking cycle think that might be the problem

That dosen't matter, you didn't make pumpkin pie, you just made pie dough.
