cant download the game?

i got this email today about the beta key, i made an account and the next direction is to download the game client "here", so i click the link and it lets me download, but from here is where im having problems, it wont let me "open" it, and if i save it to the desktop is gives me this "salem.jnlp" notepad on my desktop, where can i download the actual launcher?

You need to install Java. After that it should automatically select Java Webstart to open the jnlp.
