If I need to do something I will do it, whether I like it or not.

You are talking about planting pots and then having to go feed animals and stop your pot planting but you don't need to stop planting pots to do that.
You just need to run multiple characters, 2+ doing afk tasks and using 1 character for an active task or if you are feeling bold you can do 2 active tasks and 2 afk tasks and juggle between the 2 actives.

There are plenty of afk-esque tasks you can do such as;
>>Sifting/Digging/Cotton/Planing/Cooking/Pressing Oil/Chipping Rubble/Etc.

Obviously you can't plant pots on 2 chars at the same time cause that is a fully time consuming task as you are constantly clicking between pots but you can still be very productive in all aspects if you just look at it the right way instead of trying to stop planting pots when you don't actually need to stop.

(Example, hunting is both an afk-esque task and an active task; I can do other more active-oriented tasks everytime I need to butcher an animal and then put that active task on hold till I get my next animal to butcher)

I'm sure there will be a time for every player to take a break or hiatus from playing this game, but I have been playing many hours everyday, for almost a month straight now and that time hasn't came for me yet.

As other's have already pointed out here; hypothermia is easily overcome with clothes and/or a few minutes with a fire/heat source. But hypothermia, can also be totally avoided altogether with minor preparation too.
...Although I agree further (more obvious) instructions need to be available for new players on getting established in the game.

But, for already established players to complain about taking (less than)---> a few minutes to recover from hypothermia (when it can be totally avoided in the first place) says more about that player's negative qualities than it say about anything negative in this game.

Maybe this forum needs one more sub-forum or pin-up for newer players, devoted exclusively toward sharing basic survival and safety tips with links to three or more YouTube tutorial videos for new players ...and just let any established players who still don't get-it-yet rage on.
...Here are several YouTube video links that have helped me the most as a new player.
(not counting the advice from several already established players in-game who've advised and helped me too)
NOTE: there are many more good-helpful videos on YouTube about Salem, but I've only linked ones that Ive found which are in a compiled format:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-BH5hk ... C12318C1C2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUltkNJ ... IzJJrkzw2j <--- my favorite, the guy reminds me of Mr Rogers, lol
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2IcbFl ... THGCgZhqnT
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgcVRs6 ... FB&index=2

Another link to a player's helpful YouTube videos, but his videos are not in a compiled format, so you will need to search them:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=898eFlur16o

Apparently the in-game help feature isn't enough. And, why I am suggesting either a pin-up on the forums, or another sub-forum exclusively devoted to helping new players get established in the game that will share these and other video links of tutorials on the game's seemingly endless features and content.

I feel like this post is sort of out of place here, and I personally am annoyed by your random use of color in your posts. Like, you don't even keep to the (not even unspoken) rules about green and blue, geez.
Jesus died for our sins. You should do the same.

Okay, thank you for that useful information, I'll try to keep that in mind.
...But, just for my own future reference, do snow-flakes who insist that their "personal" preferences be accommodated by everyone around them annoy you too ?

Green is meant to be used by moderators doing their job. Using any other color is perfectly fine, just keep that in mind is all.

Will do, thank you.
I stopped using blue text when another generous player informed me in PM that blue text color was used to indicate sarcasm.
Thanks again.
