New player looking for a town and people to help me!

Hey I am a brand new player and looking for a cool group of players to play with. I no absoluteness nothing and am willing to workhorse for people to learn. My character is still so new that I can make a new character anywhere. Thanks for your consideration.

Are you willing to chop 100 trees per week and carry them all the over mulitple kilometers to the designated lumber area? Work in the lime pits for 8 hours at a time, chipping 1000s upon 1000s of lime? Are you prepared to flatten the land as far as the eye can see with nothing but a backpack full of crispy crickets and your metal shovel?

Is this really how this game treats new people? It's slightly appalling to be honest.
