How about those of us who walk into someones inactive claim, happily take their stuff, but remain friendly?

I do that. :p I have three medium sized claims within an easy hours walk of my make-stuff character that I happily pillage, but those claims are very inactive. I've walked by them many, many times in the past week or so and theres been no changes that I haven't made there. The only one I leave be is the one with a ton of braziers... I'll just wait for that ones claim stone to run out of silver. ¦]

I'll just as happily be friendly, though. There is a very, very small claim 5 minutes northwest of mine that I thought was inactive, so I took their stuff. While wandering the other day, I saw that that claims owner had built a lumber pile and placed a few farms - they got their stuff back on my next walk through the area. I even planted a few crops for them on their farmland, since they didn't have a compost bin at the time.

i think people on these forums seem obsessed with dividing the world into "carebears" and "raiders", when it is perfectly possible to be friendly and also ready to fight for your friends or yourself. its annoying.

and yeah, what chiprel said

*tsks* Now you're discriminating! Next you'll be calling raiders anti-social psychopaths.

Ah wait. That's already happened at paradox forums. My bad.

Raiders are very sociable, however they are meanies :p

How am i discriminating? I don't understand what i said implies that.

I could always add an option for them too lol but I was operating the poll under the assumption that we're talking about someone who's done nothing to you. Rangers can just answer with how they deal with someone who has done absolutely nothing to them or anyone else. I could always clarify that.

If people commit a crime on your claim, of course you have a right to deal with them as you please lol. I think that's pretty universally accepted.

Don't mind him Gunnar. Sevenless is just bad-apple!

OP: Some ppl tend to be mean to close neighbours(resources problem) and might be friendly to others.
Some will just look for anyone to kill(pikapika?) while others just want to find some good/hard opponents(stax villagers?)

Rangers spend their time hunting down criminals.

When they aren't busy with that, are they friendly/neutral/poachy/raiding/murdering the supposedly innocent players they meet or claims they wander past lol.

Like, I could be a ranger and be friendly with the people I try to help out, or be ranging and just ignore everyone but the criminal I'm tracking, or commit crimes of my own while ranging because PvP = fun.

That's the option they would pick. Being a ranger doesn't limit it.

But if people don't like the thread maybe it's just time to let it die lol :P.

Edit: Added an example. And no, the options are not all-inclusive haha I wasn't trying to account for every permutation of the human personality. There's lots. I was just looking to start a discussion >_>.
