hack or lag

this morning i logged in to dry some fresh rabbit skins when a player appeared on the map (ender client). I only saw him for like 3 seconds but he was moving far too fast, almost teleporting.
Is this a lag or are there hackers in the game?

if your looking at the dot on the map, it could have been lag. i've seen people on the map and would run out of view, sometimes even teleporting if i have nothing on me.

We sometimes teleport around on the map. Could have been us.
