Just wait untill the devs implement another way to acquire livestock, probaly is not going to be easy. I still very much doubt that Darwoth is going to share his animals and why should he.

I don't know if this rumor started with you or what, but there's no reason to implement another way to acquire livestock until far down the road when literally everyone has them already and we just want to make it easier for new players joining. Until then, you'll have to find someone willing to sell to you. But I wouldn't worry, it'll take a little while since only one person brought animals back instead of dozens as we had hoped, so breeding will take time, but it'll happen.

In one breath you call it a rumor and in the next you confirm it. Ffs

I believe the rumor started with this:
JohnCarver wrote:I do have a few things in the works to make it possible to obtain animals without the assistance of getting them from Darwoth but it will be extremely difficult and require a level of cooperation I'm not entirely sure the server will be capable of since ya'll won't play nice with each other.

Perhaps he is referring to the unfinished ark though. It makes a little sense. It would be "extremely difficult" considering the time of reckoning has come and gone and the fact that none of use are, as he says, capable of working together.

Oh, that. Yesss... adjusting the requirements upward by about 50x and putting the ark in the wilds similar to our original idea would be hilarious, but I hope it won't be that easy for you. You can be sure that I will argue against anything other than a natural dispersal of animals from Darwoth, same as I will argue in favor of the next winner(s).

Fun Fact: The original concept of the Ark would have put it just outside of town but with a special claim around it to make it unclaimable/unwallable, it would have been destroyable down to the foundation until complete, and there would have been no ability to teleport with any animal so that they had to be walked in. And even that was a very simple version of the hellish mechanic the Ark idea was loosely based upon. So, perhaps you can see why we were so shocked that the safe and simple version didn't even get completed.

i heard the possibility that if additional methods of getting animals are added to providence players will first have to unlock them by completing the ark on providence, which will not only have its base requirements increased but also require thousands of silver bars so as to remove those that were created by bug abusers from the server.

perhaps if at least 20 people make fun of judaism here on the forum in the near future i will hold a livestock auction once the herd has developed enough.

The thing that i do not understand is why are not abusers banned? Because of exploits of few the whole server has to live without alloying. And it pains me and my townies, we like to smelt ;(
